Travel like the Europeans and take the train to four great Italian cities on this independent and flexible vacation package. This trip is a comprehensive introduction to Italy and the ideal start to any European holiday.

With the train as your primary transport, navigate easily between cities, including several whose historic centers are UNESCO World Heritage sites. In Rome, dip your hand in Trevi Fountain or peer between the columns at the Roman Forum. Let Siena tickle your taste buds with Tuscan cuisine and Chianti Classico. Florence offers fine dining, too, with Michelangelo's famous sculpture David added to the cultural menu. Conclude your stay in ravishing Venice, where singing gondoliers can't help but inspire romance in your soul.

And because you're traveling independently, what you do and what you see at each destination are up to you. You'll enjoy two full days in each city and can customize your holiday further by adding optional tours and spending fewer or more days in any location. It's the ultimate in a relaxing vacation and a perfect way to see Italy.

Price includes:

• 11 nights hotel* accommodations; 3 nights each in Rome, Florence and Venice, and 2 nights in Siena
• Daily breakfast
• First-class train tickets except for to/from Siena, which is 2nd class seating
