Responsibilities:
3-5 years travel industry related sales or travel agency supervisory experience.
Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of travel industry products, travel agency sales, travel agency operations and technology systems.
Skills /Abilities: Proven ability to increase travel agency profitability. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Work independently and as a team member.
Travel Agency Profitability: Maximize profitabilty for travel business lines by working with the Regional Sales Managers to set annual budgets, determine annual goals and strategies for achieving the goals. Effectively negotiate co-op money from travel provider vendors for advertising purposes.
Travel Agency Promotion: Lead the development of effective marketing strategies for travel agency sales working with the Staff Directors of the Marketing Department and Branch Operations, and Regional Sales Managers. Cultivate business and community relationships for purposes of promoting AAA travel within Club territory.
Relationship Management: Responsible for maintaining relationships with representatives from AAA National Holding Company Partner Clubs, and all travel provider vendors. Works with Regional Sales Managers to increase travel agent productivity. Works closely with corporate trainer to determine and coordinate travel agent and auto travel counselor training program. Works closely with travel agents to educate on travel products and promotions.
Group Travel: Create, promote and administer group travel opportunities.
Travel Agency Operations: Accountable for travel agent compensation, and incentive plan, ensuring effective production based travel agent compensation. Responsible for travel agency policy review, changes and administration. Disseminate all travel related information to travel agent staff. Responsible for club compilance with all AAA National Staddards, procedures and for all travel related systems.
