AAA Launches Outdoor Junkie Community
Helena, Mont. 9/21/09 – AAA has launched a new online community specifically for outdoor enthusiasts in Alaska, Montana and Wyoming. The community, AAAOutdoorJunkies.com, provides a convenient and fun forum for passionate locals to share their common love for all things outdoor. The blogs are written by local adventurists and cover a wide variety of topics such as hiking, biking, camping, bouldering, fishing and canoeing. Enthusiasts can post stories, tips, pictures, videos, links, and more in the forums.
“Our rivers, lakes, and mountains are a strong pull in the mountain west. AAA recognizes that there are passionate locals that love the outdoors and want to share their experiences,” said Denice Harris, AAA Spokeswoman. “AAAOutdoorJunkies.com provides a forum for people to discuss their outdoor hobbies.”
The site is already gaining a buzz on the internet. The first two weeks after its launch, AAAOutdoorJunkies.com has received over 600 visitors.
As part of the online social community site launch, AAA is hosting an Outdoor Junkie Journal Contest. Outdoor Junkies who send in their craziest, most hilarious outdoor adventure by November 15 could win a Magellan Triton 500. The community will vote on the top five entries which will be posted at the end of November. The winner will be crowned Numero Uno Junkie Journalist and become the proud owner of a Magellan Triton.
