This magnificent tour will travel to Walla Walla, Washington, home to more than 150 wineries, each with its own unique flavor and charm. This is your chance to sit back, sample some of our country’s best wine, all while learning wine vocabulary along the way from our wine expert Martin Richard.

Martin Richard has been teaching people how to taste, enjoy, and share wine for three decades now, having put together his first wine list in 1970. He first taught wine appreciation classes in the late 1970s at Michigan State, and has written about wine for various newspapers and magazines. His wine list for a restaurant in East Lansing was reviewed favorably by the New York Times.


“We’re supposed to enjoy wine, not worship it. A large part of that enjoyment is sharing it with our friends, by itself, at dinner or at special moments in our friendships. I hope this trip to Walla Walla will expand both our knowledge and appreciation of wine, and expand that circle of friends with whom we share it,” said Richard.

Wine Tasting Tour

Visit four premium wineries and taste several different wine varietals in some of Walla Walla’s friendliest tasting rooms. You will also have the opportunity to take a fun and informative tour through a state-of-the-art wine making facility. This is an excellent way to learn more about the art of wine making and further your own personal appreciation for wine.
