Sailing into the Panama Canal is a thrill that defies the imagination - gravity locks open and close for ships lined up waiting their turn. The best time to visit is mid-November through mid-March when the equator's sun is not so intense.

CHOOSE FROM A FULL CANAL TRANSIT OR A PARTIAL VISIT:

FULL CANAL TRANSIT: The cruise sails the full length of the 48-mile canal, entering from the Caribbean Sea and exiting into the Pacific Ocean (or in the opposite direction), using the three locks - Miraflores, Pedro Miguel, and Gatun.

PARTIAL VISIT: The cruise sails round trip from a Florida port into the Canal, through the Gatun locks, and into Gatun Lake, where it turns around and returns to the Caribbean Sea.
